David Raizada

David set up and runs The Youth of Barlborough Club (YOB). In the 6 six years since the projects inception almost 500 different young people in the age range 8 to 16 have attended. Each Wednesday evening during term time around 80 young people attend the two hour sessions. David has promoted a very high standard of behaviour through zero tolerance. As a result there an equal mix of boys and girls enjoying themselves in a safe environment for play and socialising. David has recruited a group of around 15 adults to volunteer along side him to deliver the project. David has also secured funding for 3 paid qualified youth workers. David is also chair of the local Sports Action Group which promotes all age sports participation across the community. David gives up his time for free and juggles between a full time job in a demanding management role and his family.
