David Niblock

Dave is the youth pastor at our church. As youth pastor he has iniated and set up opportunities for youth in the inner city of Bradford. Over 200 youths aged 11-30 come to the church each friday evening. They enjoy games, listening to bands, worship and teaching. This encourages them to realise their dreams and equips them for now and their futures. Bradford is known for its riots and poverty stricken estates but as youth pastor, Dave goes into these estates with his team and has painted and tidied gardens. He sees the potential in the youth and not their surroundings. He is responsible for the other youth leaders encouraging and empowering them to be great leaders. Some of these people have lived on these estates in Bradford, and have benefitted from his guidance. With his team, he hosts youth leaders each year from around the world to equip and train them as well as holding a youth conference every summer which has now been running for 10 years. Before he became the youth pastor, Dave worked with young children with special educational needs in Bradford and went the extra mile playing football with them. Dave is an inspiration for our young people and when he teaches at church he lives what he teaches. Often this type of work goes unnoticed and I see this as an ideal opportunity to honour the years of hard work and dedication that Dave has put in to the local community.
