David Newton

My husband has been a St Johns Ambulance member for the past 23 years, giving up his leisure time on duty so other's can enjoy theirs. Such things as moto bike scrambles and horse events etc, with never a thought for himself. He also ran a junior Karate club for 12 years until shift patterns made it impossible to keep the same nights each week. He's sung all his life and now singing Barber Shop all over the country with a chorus of 30 at stroke clubs, senior citizen holmes and lots of charity events. He is also a fitness fanatic, ie marathons, triathlons, duoathlons and raised a lot of money with his marathons, 41 in total. Allthough we live in Asfordby, he was born and bread in Melton Mowbray and his family and life is still spent there as physio. He has also been involved with local football teams.
