David Lowe

David is a passionate runner - her has raised miniey for a local charity for autisitic children in the great north run and has completed the Blackpool marathon. David changed his career 8 years ago, leaving a highly paid post in engineering to become a nurse, he now works in a small rural community nursing team where he alsways goes the xtra mile for his pateients young and iold in order to make them feel valued despite them being in the last stages of thier lives or recovering for illness. David often brings a smile and comfort to those who are lonely and housebound. David is also a group scout leader for the scout group in Alnwick, he works hard to ensure the young people participating in scouting have the best opopportunities available despite the rural location. David wl always turn his hand to help people, he is a kind, considerate and a ture gentleman wheter at work or play and having the opportunity to be a torchbearer in 2012 would be a great honour for him and would provide the community with a way of thanking him for going the extra mile.
