Dave Lighten

Dave is a community heart nurse who tries to make his patients' lives a little bit happier by always going the extra mile for themI am a community heart nurse but I see this as only part of my role. To me not only is it my job to provide medical advice to people who have suffered a heart attack but for a lot of my patients who live by themselves I try and also be a companion provide help and advice on a number of problems they may have e.g sorting out disability benefit and speaking to social services or putting a patient in contact with a local refuge centre as they were fearing for their own life. My other passion is sport and I attend a local community running club where I help people develop their running skills and give them them the confident that they can do running by taking people out on runs and assisting with training sessions
