David Hereward

David is a truly inspirational judo coach he is motivational in his coaching and encourages everyone in the group. He recently took on the task of relocating our judo club to a permanent venue, he started looking for suitable premises in Oct 2010 and secured a lease on an industrial unit in Feb 2011 he then single handed transformed teh empty unit into a full judo club with permanent mat and also managed to incorporate a gymnastics club and kickboxing club giving the local community a permanent place to go and train. David believes in youngsters and works hard to ensure all children can attend the club even paying childrens subs himself sometimes to ensure they can train. The centre is an essential part of teh community and was badly needed as there was no permanent facility for 50 miles. David funded a lot of teh project himself and also approached several local businesses for help many of whome gave willingly to such a worthy cause. David built the centre to give youngsters the opportunities that he believes all young people are entitled to no matter their background or geographical location ( the area is quite deprived) David deserves some recognition for his selfless commitment to young people although he would never ask for such recognition.
