I have worked hard with the Royal Variety Club over 20 years organising and supporting golf events where the financial proceeds are donated to buy Sunshine coaches for disadvantaged and disabled children. The Golf Society raises over £1million pa. During the course of one particular event (the Variety Club Sunshine Golf Classic), where I chaired the organising committee, we have raised sufficient monies to buy over 60 Sunshine coaches in the past 15 years. On one memorable day in 2000 we presented 21 Sunshine Coaches on one day. I would be proud, on behalf of the Variety Club, to run and and represent the efforts of many in bringing a huge amount of happiness and mobility into the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves
