David's nomination story

David Greaves from Bedale North Yorkshire has long recognised the importance of taking exercise to ease the symptoms of Parkinson's. He has undertaken many cycling challenges, including Lands End to John O' Groats three times. This summer, he has cycled 2000 miles around the UK and Ireland triggering the start of numerous cycle rides in aid of Parkinson's UK. With an average age of 63, his team of six included three other riders with Parkinson's who averaged 80 miles a day for 27 days.. But for David, this is not about riding bikes, it's about funding a cure for Parkinson's. David is inspiring others to get on their bikes and go End to End to End Parkinson's, passing the message that 'Together we can cure Parkinson's', He is an ambassador for the Parkinson's community and an advocate of The Cure Parkinson's Trust. He would be a worthy recipient to transport the Olympic torch in Leeds.
