David's nomination story

In 2008 David was a fit 19 year old sportsman in the final year of his A Levels when as a pedestrian he was hit by a car. The impact brook his neck leaving him paralysed from the chest down, He spent 8 months in hospital before being discharged to an adapted flat. He retuned to college and completed his A levels and he has just graduated with a fitness and coaching foundation degree.He also looked at what sport was available to wheelchair athletes and has helped to set up a Badminton club which is now the largest wheelchair badminton club in the UK. With his playing partner they are unbeaten for 3 years in the 4 Nations competitions and following his results in the German International he is now the Parabadminton world no 1 in his class.
