David Bartlett

David is 18 yrs old and has been supporting his local Youth Club,The Zone in St Peter's, Broadstairs, for some time now as a Youth Leader.Recognising that the club was short of funds to widen the range of activities on offer,David had the idea to have his head shaved (no mean feat for a 6'3 teenager!) in front of family and friends at his local pub.Sponsorship and fund raising on the night gave the charity over £1000 towards their monies,which have been put to good use across a range of sports & activities.David continues to lead the youngsters giving up his Friday evenings to set up,lead and close the events,and has been widely acknowledged as a good influence on their conduct and aspirations for the future,whilst also completing an Apprenticeship in Painting & Decorating.Now organising a family fun day and Car Boot fair to raise further funds this autumn,he would be a popular nominee.
