David's nomination story

The person I would like to nominate is my 18 year old son David. After receiving the devastating news he had multiple sclerosis, at the age of 16 years, the same condition his mum has, David has become more determined to achieve his goal of joining the Police force. During his last year at college, he had gained an interest joining the military police and he completed all the mock fitness tests for the Uniformed services, but because of his illness would not be allowed to enter any of the armed forces. He completed a 140 mile charity cycle run in a day for M.S. Society in 2010, around the Ardnamurchan Peninsula on the West Coast of Scotland. His determination to push himself makes us all very proud. This determination also made me skydive for the M.S. Trust last year . (Raising money for a good cause). David wants to prove, that people shouldn't give up when diagnosed with anything - Just push on! David was a young leader in the scouts for 3 years and also does voluntary basket ball training for primary 4 to 7, he also coaches younger members at the local tennis club. David likes tennis, running, football, cycling, swimming and all types of physical sport.
