Darren Mckinley

During a harrowing time, when i lost my precious son at 6 months old Darren was my rock he help me through my greif and was there when i needed him he still is. Darren is truly inspiring and strives to set an example by excelling, this year he successfully completed 2 marathons within 3 weeks the london and Belfast marathons for charity he encouraged me to participate in the belfast marathon something i never dreamt acheivable. Darren shows passion in his role as a youth and community worker, managing serveral projects which make a difference to the lives of underprivileged kids/children diagnosed with cancer. He currently oversees a ward support program providing much needed emotional and life skills support to undergoin cancer treatment. This year Darren prestigiously took part in a community leadership project in the USA to idendify innovation methods of tackling NIs social issues, where he attened a receiption and met President Barack Obama.
