Danny's nomination story

"Danny lives with his Nan and has had to deal with many family difficulties in the past. He attends a special school for students with emotional and behavioural difficulties: he is diagnosed with ADHD.

It is testament to his very likeable character that Danny has made the progress that he has at school. He demonstrates good leadership skills in his tutor group and can be a very encouraging team member. Others in his group know that he can be a loyal friend. Danny has a clear sense of fairness and right/wrong borne out both during sporting activities and playing games in class. Danny is aware of areas of his behaviour that need to change and shows determination in improving himself. In spite of his positive qualities Danny lacks a sense of self worth and the opportunity to be nominated as a flame carrier will be a fabulous boost!!"
