As a teenager and all throughout her 20s Danielle found walking very painful. There was a time she thought she would never be able to hike or run properly again. A wonderful physiotherapist gave Danielle her life back and she will never again take her mobility for granted. She loves running and inspires others to get outside to do the same. She runs and volunteers for charity events, such as the Tree-athlon for Trees for Cities, Shine Marathon for Cancer Research, Urbanathlon urban obstacle course for Forever Manchester and the Running Backwards Races, just for fun! She loves her community and volunteers with Manchester Events Volunteers and Community Guardians. She has also volunteered to be a Games Maker. She is very enthusiastic about events in the community and her enthusiam rubs off on other people. She champions her local community and believes that bringing people together through sport, charitable events or community projects brings benefits to all of society, crossing all age, gender, race and ability barriers.
