Baz's nomination story

His foot was amputated Nov2010 he inspires everyone around him by continuing an active lifestyle climbingkayakingcycling and rollerskatingI lost my leg 7 months ago as a result of injury's sustained in 2009 from a bomb in Afganistan. Since loosing my leg i have started kayaking rowing . In August 2011 i am representing GB Paracanoe at the world championships having only started paddling post Amputation . I am 1 in a crew of 6 injured and uninjured service personnel rowing the Atlantic in December this year. Post amputation i have been apart of the launch of MARCH a charity to give blokes injured at war a free holiday in Cyprus . I have also passed on my experience of conflict and coming back from injury to groups ranging from kids doing karate to inner city kids from my home town .i have a tattoo that reads .the measure of a man is his ability to rise again
