Dan is an active member of The Reporters' Academy, a media production company run by young people. He volunteers his time to produce video content to aid the coverage of cycling. Most recently Dan has been lending is time to create content relating to Women's cycling and professional Men's racing. Dan is renowned in the cycling world due to his friendly attitude and willingness to get stuck in. Although Dan's passion is cycling he is personally very generous with his time when it come to teaching others, he has traveled across the country mentoring younger children in new media skills and sports reporting. He is motivated and inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic values, he is only 16 and has traveled the world in order to tell stories connected to different games and nations. Dan has been to the Cook Islands where he worked tirelessly to produce educational videos for other young people to learn from in regards to the culture and stories from the Pacific Mini Games. He told the stories connected to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics on a press trip to Vancouver, he has attended The BT Paralympic Games for the passed few years and never tires of unearthing the stories of inspiring athletes. Not only is Dan a great communicator at 16 years old he is also a technical genius, many a time has Dan fixed a technical problem when a grown up hasn't had the answer. He is generous with his time and will help anyone if he can.
