Daniel Longhurst

Daniel's passion for dance took off at school. From there he joined Liquid, a youth performance company based at the regional Dance House, Deda. Through his involvement with Deda he has volunteered as a dancer in a project with Buxton Festival; was selected from 27 Derbyshire applicants for a work experience placement within the organisation; volunteered on their Dance and Film Summer School working with five to eleven year olds; performed in a new youth dance performance at Derby Feste; and successfully auditioned for Deda's gifted and talented dance company. Daniel recently completed his bronze arts award where he gave his own time to provide mentoring to children and young people. Daniel has shown a significant commitment to dance and supports others to achieve their best. He is an inspirational role model to the young people he works with, and is an ambassador for the positive impacts of cultural participation. CR
