Daniel Greaves is an alumni of Loughborough University, successfully completing a Master's degree in Sport and Leisure Management and an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science. But Dan is better known as one of our very best Paralympic athletes, with high hopes at the London 2012 Games. Dan is the current World Champion for the F44 discus, which he won earlier this year with a world record throw of 58.98 metres. Dan won the same event at the Athens 2004 Games, and is keen to reclaim the title of Paralympic Champion in London 2012. Dan lives in Loughborough and is very much part of the University, training at the High Performance Athletics Centre on campus. His nomination would be welcomed not by the athletics community, of which he is a great ambassador for his sport, but also by the University for his academic and athletics achievements.
