Cyril Rogers

We are nominating our dad the Rev. Cyril Rogers to be an Olympic torch bearer for the Isle of Man leg. Over the last twelve years he has completed a number of sponsored cycle rides, around the Isle of Man several times, across Ireland, and from John O'Groats to Lands End and raised over £10,000 for the various charities and churches he helps to support. These have included the Leprosy Mission, One World Centre, the Parkinsons Society, the WWF, and Kemmyrk, a Manx homeless charity for which he is currently the chairman. He also works to raise awareness of social concerns on the Island, such as the environment and learning disability, he provides advice or assistance to those in need and is a full-time vicar for five churches. We are very proud of him and hope that he will be selected to be one of the Olympic torch bearers.
