Craig Owen

I have known Craig for 6 years and during that time he has worked as a local fitness instructor, who has inspired many, many people. He is also a keen cyclist and athlete who has organised sporting challenges and raised money for good causes through spinathons and Body Combat challenges, but for me the most remarkable achievements were becoming a UK Iron Man in 2008 raising funds for Cancer Research. This year he organised a team of cyclists to cycle from John O'Groats to Lands End raising money for a cancer charity with a target of £20,000. A few weeks before this a team member was fatally injured, but they decided to continue in his memory, which must have been difficult for all team members. Craig is only 26 and is a wonderful role model to all young people. He deserves this opportunity as he put so much into other people's lives.
