Courtenay's nomination story

Courtenay has always been a busy kid. From a young age all her energy was concentrated on sport and outdoor clubs. At the age of 10 she joined her local scout troop (North) and proceed to excell in all aspects and badges. She stayed on to become an explorer volenteering weekends and tonnes evenings devoting her time to teaching. She has tought many generations of beavers cubs and scouts and regulary attends all age groups to teach them life and scouting skills. On top of this she also has achieved the rank of Sergeant through the Air Training Corps and is thesenior Non-Comissioned officer of the squadron. She also teaches many subjects to younger cadets such as sport and fitness, first aid and leadership. Through out all this she has been changing young peoples lives for the better through scouting and cadets. She has the ambition to go all the way to the RAF and become a physical training instructor. To run with the olympic torch would really put her in good stead.
