Conor's nomination story

Sport is what the Olympics is all about the joy of winning the pain of losing and the friendships and memories you find along the way As most people I have many dreams some are Big ) Some are small but as I mentioned above my passion is sport and one sporting organisation I have devoted my life to and has my family since its formation 1884 is the GAA (Gaelic athletic association) It Consists of 2 sports Hurling and Gaelic Football I play 2 of them hurling and Gaelic football but my favorite is Gaelic football and my dream is to win ALL IRELAND FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP its a fairly common dream win a sporting tournament but what makes the GAA special it non-professional (like the Olympics) You could play in front of 80 000 people on the Sunday and have to get up on Monday morning for work. You play for the joy, fun and pride of being Part of it.
