Connor Wray

Connor Wray is an exceptional young man who has demonstrated personal qualities which belie his young age. I have nominated Connor because of his positive attitude towards life, his generous support of others and his selfless, kind nature to all who come into contact with him. Recently, Connor has experienced a huge personnel tragedy due to the sudden, unexpected and painful death of his father. Connor is an only child and despite his young age and his own personal shock and pain, he has supported hius mother, family and friends through it all. He has made a huge effort to attend school as much as possible and still competed in all the sports matches and games he had committed himself to before his loss. During this traumatic time, Connor quietly took an entrance exam and gained a sports scholarship at Deans Close School. Despite this huge achievement his main concern was for his friends and school as he felt he was deserting them by taking the scholarship. This further highlights his selfless nature. Connor humbles me with his care, compassion and giving nature, putting himself last and caring for the family, community and friends always with a giving smile and a willing hand. When I asked Connor if I may nomionate him for this award, he immediately thought that perhaps someone else may deserve it more. Please give this exceptional young man an experience of a lifetime.
