Colin Mcgregor

(Iomart Group) Colin is an oustanding person who has greatly supported young people in his local community for many years. Although only 29, he has been a scout leader for 16 years working wit all sections Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and despite recently becoig a father himself, his drive and commitment to develop and inspire young scouts has never faltered. Until I met Colin I vastly underestimated the depth of a scout leader role. Its so much more than a weekly troop meet: its about promoting team spirit, encouraging individual development whilst organising challenging annual gathering activities for 500 scouts! he plans, organises, escorts events at home and abroad whilst having the unenviable task of having to motivate apathetic parents. Its a rewarding outcome though when the benefits of Colin's influence can be evidenced year on year as the youngsters he's inspired morph into well rounded responsible adults.
