Clovis Asong

Hailed as the UK's answer to Usain Bolt, 16-year-old Clovis was one of stars of Team GB at the 2011 European Youth Olympic Festival.  He set the Championship alight when in his 400m he set a new Championship record with a personal best of 46.74seconds before returning two days later to win the 400m title nearly two seconds ahead of his nearest challenger. Yet despite his emphatic win, Clovis admitted he was disappointed he was unable to run another personal best in the final. Clovis is a hugely talented, yet modest athlete and will certainly be a contender for 2016.
