Despite losing most of his sight due to illness and neurologists thought he`d never walk again Chris fought hard and now loves playing sportI`ve joined a Basketball team for members with disabilities - although none of the team have so little sight as him and they have been training towards being ready to compete in the Special Olympics through sport. His co-ordination has improved from the little boy who neurologists thought would be confined to a wheelchair to the young man he is today who can walk and run. He encourages others to take part in sport so they can feel the passion of taking part when hew members join the basketball club. Sometimes they are dissappointed that they are unable to play for more than a few minutes but Chris tells them he only used to manage 5mins on court before he had to rest but strength builds up. Sport makes you buzz whether abled or disabled
