In 1995, Keith had a car accident that left him a wheelchair user. Prior to that, he was a very keen and active sportsman, encompassing running, skiing, sailing, tennis and many other sports. Before and after his accident, he has given his time and effort to support many charities. Despite his disability he has become a very skilled artist, renowned worldwide, painting by way of a brush held between his teeth. He is an inspiration to others, both disabled and able-bodied and seems to me and many of his friends as being an ideal person to carry the Olympic torch, thus embodying the Olympic ideals and objectives. And he would love to be part of this unique event in his home UK.
