Chris Goodwin

Chris is a blind triathleteWorld Silver Medallist in 2010. His determination to participate and succeed in sport is inspirational to many.In the future as a blind athlete I want to test myself to the extreme in running and paratriathlon and prove to myself other visually impaired athletes and athletes of all disabilities what can be achieved with dedication to sport. Or simply put I want to be the best athlete I can. Through the kindness of others self-belief and hard work I have raced and triumphed with the best in my sport across Europe. By telling my story at local schools and on blogs I have inspired others to realize the potential in themselves and take on the challenges that sport presents. Paratriathlon is not a sport for London 2012 so carrying the torch will be my way of living the Olympic dream.
