Chris Day

Chris, although only 29 has been the Scout Leader at his local group in Claines, Worcester for 10 years. Through this time is he has dedicated himself to inspiring the many young people that have passed through the troop! He organises and runs weekly meetings with the help of his leader team, and the troop is literally bursting with young people! He is a brilliant role model to the youngesters, particularly the boy scouts, that sometimes lack good, young male role models in their lives. In the past 18 months Chris has also taken on the role as Assistant District Commissioner for Scouts. This means he looks after all the scout troops in the Worcester area, organising fantasic events and motivating the leaders. Only in this last 6 months Chris organised a brilliant worcester wide competition for the scouts, based on the Crystal maze game show and previous to that a Scout Survivor camp teaching the young people about survival skills. In addition to all this, Chris works ful time as a Police Officer in Worcester. No matter what shift he has finished before Scouts starts, or what shift he will have to start after it ends, he always has a smile and most importantly time for young people of Worcester!
