Chris's nomination story

I have known Chris for ten years and two years ago he suffered a near fatal car accident. Chris suffered multiple injuries and was left with chronic pain and lifelong injuries. Since the accident he has shown great determination to regain his health and underwent six months of gruelling physiotherapy. Not being content with this, Chris then joined a gym to continue his progress to make the most of his remaining health. Chris has not forgotten the life saving qualities that the Air Ambulance gave him. They provide a service that is truly life saving and was justifiably worthy of being the BMW charity of 2010. Chris has, and still does fundraise for this very worthy cause. Chris still battles with his chronic injuries but is now able to run and row and appreciates his health. I know he would rejoice in the honour of bearing the torch as he understands that to be healthy enough to run with the Torch would be a fantastic achievement after so much adversity.
