After Chris's brother, Stephen Bolger, was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2009, Chris wanted to do something meaningful to honour his brother's memory so he signed up for the Help for Heroes Big Battlefield bike ride in May 2010. Help for Heroes seemed a suitable charity as Steve would almost certainly have benefited from their help had he been less seriously injured. Through a variety of activities such as lots of cake baking and book selling, Chris raised over £5,000 for the charity which we're confident will be put to very good use. The work of Help for Heroes has a considerable impact on the lives and morale of British Troops and it would be great to see the charity represented during the Olympics.
