Carrying the Flame through
Carrying the Flame on
Chris's nomination story

13 year old Chris started fundraising for charities selling cakes for tsunami victims in 2004 when he was just 7. Since then he has gone on to raise almost £1000 from coffee mornings, sponsored bike rides & walks for charities close to his heart including the PDSA, The Salvation Army, Children in Need, RNLI, Shelter and local charity St Luke's Hospice in Plymouth. He organised a 'Come Dine with Me' event where 3 young teams invited guests for a meal created by them; this was a fundraiser for The Salvation Army & raised over £150. His school took part in a 'Tenner Tycoon' project started by Peter Jones. Chris and his friend baked cakes for the staff & made the most profit in the school, raising £160 for the RNLI. Chris works hard to support charities and is very giving of his time, so an opportunity to carry the flame would be a lovely way to show him how much we appreciate his efforts.
