I would like to nominate my son Christian. in 2009 Christian had some routine x-ray taken for orthodontics reasons .when they found that he had a very large cyst on his brain , which resulted in him having to have a shunt inserted in his head. Christian was amazing and took it all in his stride. He went into hospital on the Monday morning, had the op on the Tuesday left hospital on the Friday and was back in school on the Sunday rehearsing for the school musical as he didn't want to let his fellow student and teachers down which went on the following week. Nobody could believe that a week before he was having brain surgery and now his is singing and dancing on stage. He's decision to give up playing rugby was so mature and I know was upsetting for him so he has taken up athletics which he is doing really well at. he won the most improved award last Christmas at there award evening He also sings in a male voice choir (maybe the youngest in Wales ) he is also is a member of Gwent youth theatre group. I know that he would be so proud to carry the Olympic flame. As we are of him.
