Chole's nomination story

My daughter has a degenerative muscle wasting disease, charcot-marie tooth or CMT type 2. She also suffers from adhd, asthma and parasomnia. Daily life is made all the more difficult by the need to wear orthotic splints, this can be uncomfortable, therefore the only alternative is the need to use a wheelchair to get around at school. However, these unfortunate circumstances do not hold her back. Chloe has a zest for life and is very active in clubs such as Guides as well as partaking in physical activities such as swimming and horse riding regularly. These are also integral to her lifestyle and benefit her in the ways of being able to maintain independence. Life in the future will become increasingly difficult. As the disease will progress as she develops, the pain and suffering will increase as a result. Although Chloe has an amazing resilliance in how she copes with all of the forementioned difficulties, one thing that helps is that by looking forward to the future and having something to focus on is one positive that will always be significant in motivating Chloe to progress in life.
