Chloe's nomination story

Chloe joined Nottingham Trent University in 2008 studying for a degree in Textiles. During 2009 she was involved in a hit and run accident in which she lost her leg. Despite just two months in hospital, Chloe returned to university to complete her second year. Chloe entered the Miss Nottingham competition to show how disabled people can take part and be beautiful, raising over a thousand pounds for the Rainbow Hospice, and winning Miss Nottingham Charity 2010. Chloe joined the Great Britain sitting volleyball team as a way to come to terms with her accident. During her third year she became aware of the difficulties of finding clothes to fit over her prosthetic leg so she created a range of fashionable disabled clothing. Chloe is now studying for a Masters Degree in Fashion Business as she aims to set up a business selling fashionable clothes for the disabled.
