Chester's nomination story

Chester is an exceptional student who epitomises the Olympic Values. In his primary school he represented the school council and raised money to provide the school with a new gazebo. The gazebo was designed to encourage students to be active. The money raised helped to furnish the gazebo with a range of sporting equipment including a table tennis table. In his short time at Thomas Tallis School, Chester has been elected to the School Council and represents 240 eleven and twelve year olds. He has participated in a two way residential workshop from which an anti-bullying campaign came forth. The campaign has involved Chester speaking to the whole school community through a series of assemblies, the production of a video. Lessons learned at Tallis will be cascaded to other schools in Greenwich. Chester is a keen cricketer and plays for Old Shooters Hillian Cricket Club. He enjoys basketball and regularly ride a bike to school.
