Charlotte joined her local Air Cadet squadron around 3 years ago, and since then has risen to the rank of Flight Sergeant at just 17 years old. She is currently on course to become one of the youngest Cadet Warrant Officers in the region. This year alone she has represented and supported the squadron at numerous athletic events, including coaching the U15 North East region hockey team. Having fought off competition from across the UK, Charlotte was also hand picked to represent the Air Cadets at hockey. Earlier this summer she climbed the Pyrenees as part of an elite team of cadets, as well as attending various camps and events. She literally never stops! Every cadet night she is the first to arrive and the last to leave, and she spends her free time planning fun evenings and tutorials for her cadets. In amongst all this Charlotte has been studying for her A Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry (she is predicted 3 As), and preparing herself to enroll in the RAF as a Medical Officer. Outside of cadets, Charlotte is very involved with sport in the community. She has a Community Sports Leader award, and volunteered at the Great North Run this year as part of Northumberland Sport. I know Charlotte was keen to volunteer for the Olympics but was unable to as she was unsure of where she would be living/working in summer 2012. Charlotte is a kind, caring and above all else a dedicated person, who loves sport and is actively involved in bringing it to the next generation.
