I would like to nominate my daughter Charlotte because she is an inspirational person. Two years ago she was very ill with anxiety and depression. She recovered after about a year of treatment. I am so proud of her because when she recovered from her illness she dediced to train to be a Community First Responder. She has now been a Community First Responder since September 2010. She gives up every Sunday to give emergency first aid to save lives in our community by being first on the scene when a person calls for an ambulance. She is able to use a difibrilator which is vital if somebody collapses having a heart attack. She also attends ongoing training. The Community First Responders are all volunteers and they also have to raise money for their equipment i.e. pads for the difibrillator. Charlotte has raised money for her group of responders by holding a social evening with horse racing and raised £740, half of which was given to the local Round Table. As well as being a Community First Responder she works full time as a Nursery Nurse and is studing for a degree with the Open University to become a teacher. She is also a wonderful caring daughter.
