Charlotte is friendly, sociable and outgoing and is someone who is organised, hardworking not afraid to apply herself and take on new challenges. In school reports teachers have described her as diligent, trustworthy and as someone who gives a hundred percent. Charlotte has received a number awards including the school's 'Foundation Prize For Athletics' and Geography prize. In addition her athletics club, Barnet and District AC, have awarded her a 'Jack Petchey Achievement Award', for effort and doing her best. In 2009 she was voted 'Young Athlete of the Year' by the club coaches and athletes. She has also been selected to be a 'London 2012 Young Ambassador.' by her school; and by Hertfordshire County Athletic Association to be a part of the UK's first 'Young Leaders Network.' We were extremely proud of her wining the Hertfordshire U17's 3000m championship this month. Charlotte also gives up her lunch and break times at school to help coach and umpire extra curricula sporting activities. Every Saturday after training Charlotte goes straight to the local Cancer Research UK shop to help as a volunteer; for whom she took the initiative to raise a substantial sum by selling wrist bands and badges at her school. Charlotte dedication and enthusiasm for athletics inspired me to return to running and competing as a Masters Athlete after giving up competitive sport for many years. She has been chosen to tour with the school Concert Band in 2012 in France.
