Charlie's nomination story

I feel that young people are sometimes stereotyped as anti-social and unwilling to contribute to society. I wish to use my work with Sailability and through my own sporting achievements to show to the rest of the world that not all young people have a negative influence on the community. The Olympics has helped inspire me to dedicate time to others. In the future I wish to get to know the people I help out as I feel it is incredible that they can overcome a disability and learn how to sail. I also wish to further improve my athletic achievements as it gives my family and my club great pride when I improve on my running times. I'd also like to encourage other young people to become more involved with sports and fulfill their potential.
