Charles's nomination story

I am nominating my son, Charlie, as he is a role model for all teenagers! So often the media stereotypes young peole as lazy and troublesome, but Charlie is far from either. I am a single mum and work away from hom, so Charlie has had to be independent and responsible from an early age. He gets up at six o'clock every morning to go to school, keeps his bedroom immaculate, helps me with the housework and even cooks (he makes a fantastic Sunday roast!). He is doing well at school and has just completed his Duke of Edinburgh Award. In addittion, he has graduated from unior Chef Academy, volunteers for the Cinnamon Trust (dog walking for the elderly and those in hospital), washes cars for his pocket money and helps the neighbours in any way he can. Charlie has suffered from a hole in the heart and epilepsy, but that hasn't stopped him being the Captain of his rugby team, doing kick boxing and, last year, completing his first Triathlon which he achieved training by himself! Charlie is so well-loved by everyone who knows him and is an inspiration to all, but most of all to me - his very proud Mum! I'd love him to be recognised and have the chance to know how much he is admired :-)
