I would like to nominate my younger brother as since our Dad passed away from cancer this time last year he has achieved a lot of personal goals and raised a lot of money for two very special charities. He competed in his first triathlon, the London Olympic Triathlon in July 2010, as he wanted to give something back to Macmillan Cancer Support who had helped our family over the past three years. Through hard work and determination he completed it in just under three hours and raised a fantastic £22,000 for the charity. He is a keen golfer too and he has spent the past 9 months organising a charity golf day in memory of Dad to raise money for the other (local) charity, Shipston Home Nursing. They were amazing in Dad's last few weeks it meant that Dad could stay at home where he was most comfortable and happy. Charles hosted the golf day on Tuesday 7th June 2011 and with the help of the 64 guests and respective partners joining for a supper in the evening, a raffle and an auction, he raised £11,000. We had a representative from the charity there and she couldn't believe how well he had done. I feel if he could carry the torch in Coventry or Oxford (for example) it would be an incredible way to reward him for all his efforts and commitment to giving something back to those who helped us through a difficult period. Thank you Becks
