It's easy for people to sit back and let others do the hard work when it comes to charity work. But Charlie has worked extremely hard to make the annual charity golf day a success inside and outside the company. The group charity of the year benefits from the funds raised and the additional profile they receive. This year's event also brought in colleagues from further afield, meaning that the event is now wider than just Scottish Widows. This has helped to spread the charity's messages further amongst Group colleagues and their guests on the day. Also, it has increased the funds raised. I nominated Charlie because it takes a massive amount of time, effort and persistance to organise this event and his efforts have directly benefited the charities through raising their profile and of course through the impressive sums raised.
