Chai Patel

Dr Chai Patel is a very passionate and inspirational man, especially when it comes to sport.  Among other things, he is a commited supporter of Team 2012, the fundraising programme for British athletes. Because of him, up and coming British athletes have had a chance to realise their potential and many will go on to realise the biggest dream of all - competing at the Olympics or Paralympics in London.  Chai has met and engaged with many athletes and always demonstrates an encylopedic knowledge of sport and tremendous enthusiasm.  To carry the torch would be a fitting tribute to a wonderful individual and an incredible benefactor for sport.
