Catherine's nomination story

Catherine is a true inspiration to others, a credit to the school and a great role model to all. Such an opportunitiy would be a great honour , one that she would cherish forever and would inspire her to continue to challenge herself and achieve where others would not. . . Catherine has a physical difficulty and suffers from cerebral palsy. Catherine has a walking frame to support her, but chooses not to use around school in order not to be treated differently. Catherine will never ask, wish or expect for anything different and in fact gets cross if you try!! She has applied herself so well to all activities within PE from gymnastics, Netball, swimming (Including the walk of site to the pool). She regularly attends after school activities and is part of some of our community club links programme. Next month she is to gain representative honours for the school at the Ability roadshows and she really is a credit to our school. . . Catherine's physical difficulties is by no means the reason why she has been selected, but the additional challenges that this brings for her, the positive attitude that she displays, the commitment and effort she displays is exemplary to all. She was a unanimous nomination..
