Cate Neal has worked tirelessly over the last 5 years to improve the lives of many in the Town of Kirton in Lindsey. In her role as Clerk to the town council she has brought together a vast and varied amount of local community groups such as the women's institute and the Royal British legion, to arrange fund raising events for the towns folk. Cate has a very busy family life bringing up 5 children but still finds time to organise the Towns fundraising events, such as the annual Christmas celebration. She has this year been instrumental in organising the first Town Community Gala. For this Cate organised a Fun run, a Town fair and a Ceilidh, all held on the same day in July, this was a very successful day that raised funds for local charities and publicised the needs of towns folk. She managed once again to arrange for all the local community groups to gather together and promote their fund raising needs. Cate is a young mother who works long hours at work and at home to ensure that those less fortunate than herself are helped and have a voice in the community, whilst always juggling a hectic family life. Her dedication to her children is amazing, one of her daughters is a budding national swimmer, Cate takes her to events and training, often in the early hours of the morning and still puts in a full days work, whilst ferrying her other children to school and doing all the unsung work of a mother. She's a rare individual who will always put the needs of others before her own.
