Carys is an outstanding 'all-rounder' in terms of her achievements & has amassed the following achievements; The Gold Young Ambassador for Sport Wales; Ambassador for the Flintshire Olympic Torch Project; Ambassador/volunteer for Flintshire Festival of Youth Sport; 5x60coach, Dragon sport & Flintshire volunteer coach; Volunteer at Flintshire sports awards 2011; Flintshire Young Sportswoman of the year 2009 nomination ( for achievements in kayaking including Welsh Champion/member of the Welsh development squad); Volunteer judge/coach for British Canoe Union (International to club level); Volunteer for Deeside Ice Skating Club; Potential Olympic volunteer ('Games maker'); Duke of Edinburgh Award (Silver); MEND mentor; Rotary Youth Leadership Award; selected to represent Britain at an international Rotary Rowing Camp in Milan; Introduction of paralympic sports to Hawarden High with Chris Moss (5x60 officer) and Silver Ambassadors; Acting sports reprsentative/vice-president of school council/6th form prefect; Rower with Chester Grosvenor novice ladies crews.
