Caron Rogers

Caron was one of the first women triathelets. Organises an open running club.Is a beach warden and organises street parties and walks for alI set up a running group aimed at beginners which I intend to continue and expand. Members get so much more than physical fitness out of the group (for which there is no charge) & it is amazing to see their self-belief grow as they tackle new distances & enter events. I take a group of around twelve women on a walking weekend every year (at cost) organising a route transport food & accommodation for them. It challenges them but is achievable & gives them confidence within other areas of their lives enabling them to tackle problems & other issues. Having been British Triathlon Champion in the 80's & completed the Hawaii Ironman my personal goal is to complete Hawaii again. It would be a huge honour for me to carry the Olympic Torch.
