Carolyn's nomination story

Carolyn is constantly organising, managing and inspiring events in order to raise money for Brain Tumour UK. Her husband in 2009 was diagnosed with a brain tumour but with her strength and support they pulled through this traumatic time, and now Mark is fully recovered from his illness and they now have a happy secure family with the addition of their son Aiden, born 2010. Carolyn since this time has been an inspiration for everyone who knows her, as she is constantly involved with raising money and awareness of brain tumours. I know Carolyn from working with her, and I am aware of all the work that she's done with respect to supporting this charity, she's organised and participated in a charity calendar, ran 10K races and most recently the London marathon! With also numerous events such as charity balls, race nights and the like. She has raised well over her initial target for the charity and looks to keep going for some time. The energy and dedication that she puts in to making people aware of the illness and raising money to help research is truly inspirational and humbling. Carolyn would be so honoured to carry the torch for the London Olympics but more so it would be an exceptional way in which to say thank you to Carolyn for achieving what she has for such a worth while cause. Well done Carolyn!
