Caroline Orrells

caroline was already a truly inspirational person in her own right, not least because she's brought up a lovely family, including a severely disabled son and some foster children, whilst working outside the home supporting families who need help. Having always been a keen runner in challenging events such as the London Marathon and Snowdon International challenge, in the summer of 2008 she trained to lead a novice womens' running group, which has had a fantastic impact on the women of Newtown. Starting with a routine of running a nd walking alternate minutes, accompanied by shouted encouragement and witty feedback, she has succeeded in inspiring woment to relaise they CAN do it, with the result that now up to 100 women at once, of all shapes and sizes, can be witnessed pounding the beautiful country lanes of Montgomeryshire in their bright yellow and pink tops!
